Eight-Year-Old Boy Shot in Shoulder By Passing Bicyclist in Bronx

The boy was hit by a single shot Tuesday evening outside a bodega in the Clason Point section in the Bronx. The shooter, who has not yet been identified, fired the bullet while riding by on a bike. The boy is now in stable condition. Sadly, this kind of incident is par for the course in this neighborhood: “The young kids in the gangs are always hanging out on the corner,’’ said an employee at the bodega where the shooting occurred. “Unfortunately, this is a bad area, so it’s something common.’’
